The problem with giving your fish Elf names and then watching them, is that you come out with phrases like 'Glorfindel, stop trying to swim up Celeborn's rear...'
OK so far... I have four decent-sized fish at the moment, rather than a dozen tiny ones. I'd still like six little fish eventually, but for now I'm happy to just keep these alive!
I've had really bad luck with this tank, these are the first to last more than a week! I've lost over 20 fish since I set it up in December - I almost called it quits, but I'm too stubborn! :P
*snerk* hehehehe that's great. I had something similar happening when I named a network of computers for test use over here with Shakespeare character names. It didn't help when Banquo decided he wanted to be a server instead of a client and tried killing off MacBeth to take his place.
My red betta is Gothmog...he has a habit of lunging at my fingers whenever I feed him. feisty little devil. The two greens are E & E :) I'm still toying with the idea of getting another blue Glorfindel.
Okay, I'm a bit behind, but I can relate to the elf name fish thing...I had a Beta I named Ecthelion; I thought it was perfect to a showy blue/gray fish with bright blue eyes and a tinge of red on the bottom of his tail that looked like flames...unfortunately, he was found at the bottom of his "fountain" the other day. He had lived long life though...however, I think I will find a less appropriate name next time.

I tried giving my fish elf names but they tend to die on me. Now they're just Fish 1, 2, 3 etc...
