FUCK FUCK FUCK.
Some wanker put a smoke-bomb through my letterbox this evening.
I completely freaked, because there was smoke everywhere and called the Police, who also sent the Fire Brigade as a precaution. They came really quickly, especially once I told them I was alone and pregnant, though luckily it was just smoke and no damage. I waited in the garden to get away from it.
Unfortunately there is little the Police can do, as I didn't see who did it... I only heard what *sounded* like a can of spray paint, before the smoke started coming in. They will make a report that it happened though, and keep an eye out for any more trouble.
I have to give them credit... I was shaking like a leaf and kept apologising in case they thought I was a time-waster, but they could see that I was a bundle of nerves and told me not to worry. The Policeman knew all about this area and the Firemen were worried that the smoke alarm hadn't gone off, so fitted two brand new ones, something they apparently do for free all the time.
Once they'd gone I called the National Health Service helpline, just to check that the smoke wouldn't cause any harm to Baby. I suppose some people smoke while pregnant and it probably isn't any worse that that, but as a non-smoker, I was concerned. They said it should be fine though... I guess I just needed to hear it from a medical professional.
Hubby is in London tonight, he offered to come back, but he's been up since about 6am and I *know* he's too tired to be driving safely, so I told him to stay put. I just wish the dog was here, but Mum has her at the moment, as she's due a trip to the Vet.
I guess I'm ok really... just shaken. And really fucking glad we're moving in just over two weeks.
