This Sunday is Remembrance Day, or Armistice Day if you prefer. In countries all around the world, people wear poppies in memory of all the fallen soldiers in wars throughout history, as well as those lost more recently. For those that may wish to use them, I offer some 'virtual poppies'.
Your Grandpa is going to be devastated - this is the first year he has been unable to go to the service at St Mary's Paddington Green. Steve and I are going to represent him but it won't be the same.
On Southern News last night there was an old boy - 111, blind and lame, but all his wits still who is going out to be where he served in France in the First World War for Armistice Day. It's quite humbling, really.
