So, I was out with my mum and the dog in the nearest-but-not-nicest town. Walking past a shop I noticed they were selling jeans for £5. (About US$8) 'Great!' I think, 'I need jeans!' So I go and look and select 2 pairs that look as though they might fit. Now, I have trouble buying trousers. My bum and waist are *not* in proportion. So I always have to try before I buy. No big deal right? Wrong.

Taking them up to the cash desk I was told 'you can't try on the half price stuff.'

WTF?! I asked why and they said 'we're just seling them off and consentrating on the other clothes.'

I looked around. Now, had they been busy I'd have understood. But except for me and the two people behind the desk, the place was DESERTED. 'Come on,' I said, 'the place is empty!' But they wouldn't budge. I was told I could bring them back if they didn't fit. Well great but - no. Why should I put myself out for them?

Needless to say, I left without buying anything. Maybe a £5 sale means nothing to them, but if they keep doing that to people, they'll soon find themselves out of business!

Wow, that's ridiculous (not to mention a great way to lose business)!

What if you had taken those two pairs of half price trousers and, say, two full price pairs to the changing room? Would they have weeded them out (my guess is yes, given their stupidity level)?
