Thank you SO much for all the well-wishes and congratulations! I really appreciate it - I'm sure Aedan does too! ^_^
It's hard to believe he's nine days old already, but at the same time, it feels a lot longer, if that makes sense at all! Possibly not... but I *am* sleep-deprived, lol.
It's been a bit of a rough ride, we're both new to this and I'm always worried that I'm doing something wrong. Last week he stopped feeding which landed us back in the hospital for a couple of days, but it seems to have been just a glitch and we're back to normal now, thankfully!
Hubby has been great.. he can't help with feeds, but he's fantastic at pitching in with changing and soothing him when he can, as well as cooking and cleaning. I will of course have to start doing the cleaning again now he's back at work, but it means a lot to me that he's taken the load off of me in these first few days. He's even said that when I start pumping occasionally (which isn't recommended for at least the first six weeks) he'll do a whole night so I can recharge. :)
All in all I'm really happy... tired, but happy!

ohhhh your breastfeeding? I tried with my oldest but it had hurt way too much so I switched to Formula. It also had not helped that the day he was born when I first tried, the nurse just handed him to me, wished me luck and left the room. I was in tears cause I had no idea what I was doing. Then when I did switch him to formula he was drinking a full 6oz at each feeding ( at a day old) and the nurse told me it wasn't enough. I never tried to breastfeed again with my other kids.
Glad to hear that you and Aedan are doing fine. Give the little sweety a gentle squish for me.

Yeah... it was never really something I questioned... have baby - breastfeed. But I did discover pretty fast that it *isn't* something you can do without support. If mothers don't get that support then it's no wonder they give up. It's hard, no doubt about it.
