Random Update
Aug. 12th, 2010 12:08 amWork is going well. It's a bit of a shock to the system, but it's good to be back in the workforce, no matter the nature of the job! And the improvement in my bank balance is nice too! So far it is just two nights a week, but I'm hoping for some overtime.
We put a new floor down in the dining room this weekend. It's caused chaos, but it looks SO much better. Honestly, who puts lino down on bare concrete? Now we have lovely new laminate. Also gave me a chance to have a good sort-out - I found the passports which had been missing since we moved - and *finally* found the pen to my graphics tablet, so I can manip again! (Although apparently I need to find a group where lurking isn't grounds for removal...)
Just a few days until we go away! I was a bit stressed about it, because we didn't have a cat-sitter, but a friend from toddler group came through today. :) Much relief! I won't have internet while I'm away, but I have lots of books packed for the evenings.
