I was sitting here thinking 'I CAN make a non-Aedan related post - right?'
Erm, wrong. LOL. Well, I'll try and chuck in some other bits too. :P
But first, a big thank you to
txdville for the box of baby clothes! :D
He has his hearing screening on Thursday... it's totally routine, but I can't help but worry. At 15 days old it's hard to tell *what* he's reacting to... sights, sounds, etc. Hopefully it'll go ok though... I'll just spend the next three days worrying about it!
I miss sleep... sometimes I feel like I'm not appreciating these 'baby days' like I should because I'm just so exhausted.
enismirdal came over yesterday, to remind me of the world outside babies! I think she also got an insight into life with a newborn too! Was wonderful to see her and remember that I *can* still have a social life. :) We took both Aedan and Jupiter (my dog) out for a walk while hubby cooked us a late lunch.
This weekend is the sci-fi convention I go to every year - we've decided that since Aedan is so young, we'll just go for the day, not the whole weekend. It seems unfair to drag a three-week-old baby to a long dinner... and if he started crying in the middle of it (highly likely) I doubt the other guests would be impressed. Mum is coming too, which should be fun, she's never been to a con before. It's just a shame there aren't any major Dr Who stars going this year... that's *her* fandom.
I'm hoping the con might fire up my muses too - I do seem to get quiet periods in the late afternoon or early evening and it'd be nice to write again. But we'll see - I suspect my muses are as tired as I am, lol.
Well, that was only, erm, 95% baby related... *grin*
