I went to the doctors today, because the ear infection I had last July seemed to be coming back. She prescribed me an ear-spray and delivered the delightful news that I could expect it to take up to *eight weeks* to clear up. Oh, joy.
Because I'm a new patient at that surgery she also did a standard health-check. The words 'you're overweight' are *not* ones I wanted to hear. Now, I'm not skinny, I know this. I suspected I could stand to lose a few pounds. But to be told I need to lose at *least* at stone (14 pounds!) was... a bit of a shock. I thought about half that would get me to the average weight for my height!
I exercise, I walk on average 2-3 miles a day. My diet is passable. (I'm married to a chef though, so so a little extra weight is to be expected!) But I guess it's time to look into gym memberships again...
