Trip Report - Pic heavy!

luin77! Many piccies below the cuts!
We arrived atluin77's on Wednesday after a very long journey. Due to travel-times I'd not slept in about 48 hours and was exhausted! Still I was thrilled to be there and managed to stay awake for a couple of hours, despite being half-dead and having a nasty cold. However when I did sleep it was for thirteen hours! (Without having my hot choc beforehand which scared poor luin77!)
Woke up the next day with a stinking full-on cold... but determined not to let it get me down!luin77's Mum, who is almost as lovely as she is, very kindly got me some cold-meds which really helped. We took it easy that day, wandered around town and did a little food-shopping. (I love German food.) Then after dinner we went to the nearby chocolate factory when may yummies were obtained!
I was feeling much, much better by Friday which was good, because we went on a day-trip to Berlin! We took a tour-bus around the city, getting on and off as we pleased to see the sights up close. The weather was terrible, but I took pics anyway!

On Saturday we had a better walk aroundluin77's hometown and explored the local market before heading back to her home for a truly indulgent treat. For Christmas my parents got me one of those table-top chocolate fountains and I decided to bring it with me. We'd got the chocolate in the factory a couple of days previously and so let Neal loose in the kitchen with it! Of course, you have to have a, err, balanced diet, so we had a nice chicken sandwich first! :P

Sunday we were unashamedly lazy. Stayed in most of the day watching DVDs and playing games. I fear I may have gotluin77 addicted to the SIMs. Um, oops?
We did eventually go out as we had a table booked at a local Greek restaurant. The food was lovely, however they emptied out early so we went back to the apartment to see the new year in there and watch the fireworks from the window.

On Monday hubby had some stuff he wanted to do, soluin77 and I decided to head in Hannover for a few hours, despite the poor weather. It seemed a shame to waste a day when there was a lovely city to explore so close by! I am glad we went - it's a really beautiful city!

By Tuesday it was sadly time to go home again... but not without a lot of wonderful memories - and marzipan chocolate! :D My heartfelt thanks toluin77 and her mother for such a wonderful time!
