I just got a call from my cousin - my PC is fixed! I was right too, it *was* an electrical fault! Hopefully that means no lost data!
I can't wait to get it back - I do like the laptop - it's shiny and fast, but it's not *mine* and the smaller keyboard is making my typing worse than usual! lol!
