Marked by Love
Lindir sat in his room, looking out at the mountains beyond. He still had not adapted to the landscape, it was so different from what he had been accustomed to all his life. Yet it was his home now and though it would not be easy, he had to get used to it.
Dropping his gaze, he looked down at his hands, turning his right wrist to reveal the elegant design that marked it. He ran a finger over the firm black lines, skilfully engraved into his skin for all eternity.
He’d never even told his lover that he’d had it done. Things had changed between them and he had left before he’d even had a chance. Still, he did not regret it. They had shared many beautiful times together that were worth remembering.
As long as the tattoo graced his wrist, he knew he always would.
